Today was a special event in Port Colborne called "Love Port Colborne" ... a variety of activities and free events were planned to bless the people of our community. It was all planned and organized by a few people from a local church, but everyone was invited to participate and volunteer. Our church Life Group got involved helping run the free car wash. Donations received from the car wash will go to the South Niagara Life Centre (i.e. pregnancy crisis centre).
Special thanks to those in our Life Group who came out and gave up their day to be a part of this. Between 12 noon and 5 pm some 150-200 cars were washed ~ it was exhausting but fun! It was a beautiful day and we could not have asked for nicer weather. Unfortunately, we personally had scheduling conflicts and had to arrive late for the car wash. This morning Harv and I took Rachelle to Sheridan College for an information session and tour. Anyway... here is a slideshow of the car wash ...
