Oh how I love the praries! Seeing the flatlands and blue skies brings me such peace. Do you miss living in Saskatchewan?
I used to not enjoy driving through that province, but the older I get the more I appreciate it. There is something to be said about the vast openness, prairie blue skies, little traffic. I love driving by farms, acre upon acre of wheat blowing in the prairie wind, seas of flax flanked by canola. Yes I love the prairies! I hope you'll have an enjoyable drive out this way and beyond.

And I am NOT looking forward to that long drive. It doesn't look one bit appealing to me. But then I guess we've driven it close to 20 times in just under 30 years so I feel like I've done my time. Give me the mountains, rivers and oceans!

Yes, the drive is a bit of a drag that's true...but the Saskatchewan landscape certainly is unique & beautiful in its own way even if it does make the drive somewhat boring. Where else can you see such vast land and sky ... blue sky?! Plus it's where I grew up so I guess it kind of makes me feel nostalgic. Although I don't really want to live there for some reason. Ontario feels pretty much like "home" to me now, and us as a family, especially our kids.
